Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern the use of the free online file converter wandlio.de (the "Service"), operated by MB-ITiL GmbH, Auf dem Hollacker 8, 27412 Wilstedt, Germany. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

§ 1 General Use

wandlio.de provides a free online service for converting files between different formats (e.g. images and documents). The Service is intended for private and business users. There is no entitlement to continuous availability, a particular scope of functions, or the permanent free provision of the Service.

§ 2 Definitions

The "Service" refers to the wandlio.de website and all conversion and additional functions offered through it. A "User" is any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Service.

§ 3 Eligibility

Use of the Service is permitted to persons who are at least 18 years old or who have the consent of a legal guardian. By using the Service, the User warrants that they have legal capacity and are authorised to accept these Terms of Use.

§ 4 User Obligations

The User undertakes not to misuse the Service. In particular, the following is prohibited:

  • uploading or converting unlawful, harmful-to-minors, or criminal content;
  • infringing the copyrights, trademarks, or other protected rights of third parties;
  • processing files for which the User does not hold sufficient rights;
  • uploading malware, viruses, or other harmful code;
  • automated bulk use and any action that impairs the availability or stability of the Service.

The User is solely responsible for the content they upload.

§ 5 File Upload and Processing

For local conversions, files are processed exclusively in the User's browser and are not transmitted to our servers. For server-side conversions, the file is transmitted encrypted, processed automatically solely for the purpose of conversion, stored only temporarily, and permanently deleted immediately after conversion. Files are not stored permanently. Details on data processing can be found in our Privacy Policy.

§ 6 Disclaimer of Liability

The Service is provided without warranty and "as is". MB-ITiL GmbH provides no guarantee of the availability of the Service, of a particular conversion result, or of the accuracy, quality, or usability of the files produced. Data loss cannot be ruled out; the User is responsible for keeping backup copies of their original files. Except in cases of intent, gross negligence, or the breach of essential contractual obligations, as well as damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, the liability of MB-ITiL GmbH is excluded.

§ 7 Intellectual Property

The "wandlio" trademark, the logo, the software, the design, and all content of the Service are the property of MB-ITiL GmbH or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Any use, reproduction, or distribution beyond the intended use of the Service requires prior written consent. All rights to the files uploaded and converted by the User remain with the User.

§ 8 Changes to the Terms of Use

MB-ITiL GmbH reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time with effect for the future. The respective current version will be published on this page. By continuing to use the Service after a revised version has been published, the User agrees to the changes.

§ 9 Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. To the extent legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with the use of the Service is the registered office of MB-ITiL GmbH. Should individual provisions of these Terms of Use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
